Many of our existing garden design projects have challenging site constraints. A recent courtyard design project in Wakefield required planning permission and highways consent for the planned works in a sensitive conservation area; a recent historic landscape design featured on the BBC series 'The Planners' required historic analysis, consultation with Historic Scotland and archive research in several repositories across Edinburgh and the Scottish Borders. We therefore offer our clients a comprehensive design service, which respects local landscape character but equally knows how and when to break with convention.
Like many garden designers, we offer a well-honed planting design service, which places great emphasis on planting form, year round colour and budget. We also marry this with the wider considerations of house design, architectural and services constraints, as well as environmental landscape constraints such as heritage, sustainability and climate change. We assist our clients with the delivery of their vision, handling the tendering of contracts, contractor appointment (including specialist sub contractors for water features etc), on-site design advice, contractor liaison, management of cost variations and valuations for payment and quality sign-off.
We have recently completed gardens designs for clients in Notting Hill, Ruddington in Nottinghamshire, Newmillerdam in Wakefield and in the Duchy, Harrogate.
